Terrance began programming on unix based machines using C++ and completed a rigorous coarse load of classes to include architecture, assembly code, operating systems, algorithms as well as many other electives. During his time at the Naval Academy, Terrance poured many more hours into his programming courses required simply because he loved the technology.

Terrance focused his efforts on optimization for distributed database systems. In addition to database optimization, he completed coursework emphasizing complex encryption and network exploitation techniques.
